Dear neighbor,

Last week, I got the pleasure of welcoming many constituents to my D.C. office. I met with University of La Verne President Risa Dickson, El Monte Union High School District Trustee Florencio Briones, the San Gabriel Water Quality Authority, and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California to discuss their top priorities for our community and what Congress can do to help. I will continue to advocate for the needs of southern California in the halls of the Capitol.

Rep. Cisneros Wants to know...
Should Congress Hold Kristi Noem Accountable for Excessive Use of Force?
Yes
No
Taking this survey will sign you up for future news and updates from our office.

I refuse to stand by while our communities are attacked by ICE at the direction of Trump and Kristi Noem. This week, I addressed a crowd of hundreds outside ICE HQ to demand Kristi Noem’s immediate impeachment for the safety and security of us all.

Last week, I welcomed University of La Verne President Risa Dickson to my D.C. office to discuss protecting and expanding the Pell Grant and what we can do to protect our students and workforce. Thanks for your continued investment in our students and our community.

It was great to touch base with El Monte Union High School District Trustee Florencio Briones in Washington, D.C. I am committed to supporting robust, sustained federal investments in our students, educators, and schools.

For local businesses, every penny counts. For Paradise Gym in San Dimas, that means giving back to the local community. This winter, they organized a toy drive and fundraiser to bring toys and gifts to children hospitalized at City of Hope. I got to celebrate this incredible small business on the House floor. Thank you for your kindness and continued dedication to our community!

Last week, I met with the San Gabriel Water Quality Authority here in Washington to discuss their
Community Project Funding for the 2026 fiscal year. I will continue supporting their
efforts to clean up the San Gabriel Basin and am grateful for their service protecting
waterways in our community.

I also met with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. Drinking
safe water is a vital resource we all need to be healthy. During our meeting, we
discussed how to keep drinking water clean, accessible, and affordable for
Southern California!

I am proud to bring back over $18 million in federal funding that will go directly into our CA-31 community. Through Community Project Funding grants, our cities will finally get to see their parks and recreation centers get upgrades, bring in new technology for public safety systems, and make long overdue investments in water, transportation, and infrastructure.

Over the weekend, I joined West Covina and Monrovia at their Lunar New Year celebrations. I got to see traditional demonstrations from Covina Martial Arts and the Field Elementary School Lion Dance Team, the perfect way to ring in a new year!
