Learn how to assess risk and protect each other in community actions.
Dear community,
Immigrant justice and LGBTQ+ liberation are deeply intertwined. In this moment, many of us are asking how to show up for our migrant siblings and neighbors in ways that are both effective and safe.
As part of Beyond Borders and Boxes: Building LGBTQ+ and Migrant Solidarity, Transgender Law Center and Black LGBTQIA+ Migrant Project (BLMP) are hosting Session 2: From Marches to Mutual Aid — Mobilizing Safety 101, a practical, community-centered conversation about organizing in our communities. The training will take place on February 11 at 7 PM Eastern Time.
Whether you’re supporting mutual aid efforts, participating in protests, or offering care behind the scenes, safety planning is essential. In this beginner-level training, we will be joined by Vision Change Win to explore:
How to assess safety risks when organizing or taking action
How to build a personal safety plan for events and protests
Accessible ways to support community safety beyond marches and walkouts
This session is designed to meet people where they are, whether you’re new to organizing or looking to strengthen your approach to collective care.
Register nowto save your seat and continue building solidarity across borders and boxes. Our power grows when we care for each other and learn together.
