Dear friend,
Last week, Sophie Blake launched a petition in memory of her friend Nathaniel Dye, calling on the Government to ensure the assisted dying Bill cannot be indefinitely delayed or blocked in the House of Lords.
Nat spent the final months of his life campaigning so others would not have to face the end of life without choice. His message was simple: a handful of unelected Peers should not be able to block a Bill that MPs - and the public - clearly support.
Over the weekend, more than 20,000 people have added their names. But to show that Nat’s voice represents the will of the people, we want to get to 100,000.
If you haven’t yet signed, please add your name now.
If you have, please share the petition with someone who hasn’t.
Nat knew this change would not come in time for him, but he was determined that others should not face the same uncertainty and fear he faced. Now it is up to all of us to support Sophie to carry that fight forward.
With enough support behind it, his call for change can be heard.
Thank you for adding your voice.
Best wishes,
Sadie Kempner
