Today, Country First is going on the offensive with the launch of Reveille and Rally, a nationwide voter education campaign that will run through the 2026 midterms, warning against the political misuse of the National Guard and U.S. military.

Our democracy is on the line in November, and Country First isn’t sitting this fight out. This is by far the most ambitious and aggressive campaign Country First has launched since it was founded in the immediate aftermath of January 6th.

Trump has made it clear he’s willing to abuse the National Guard to target his political enemies and harass cities and states that don’t agree with his anti-democratic political agenda. To make matters worse, this administration has threatened to use the National Guard to seize voting machines and undermine the very foundations of American democracy.

As a Veteran, I know politicizing the Guard and Military is not just bad governance — it’s dangerous for the country. When the Guard and Military are pulled into partisan fights, communities suffer, service members are used as props, and one of America’s most trusted institutions is weakened. We should never ask our Armed Forces to carry out political agendas.
