Since he set foot in the White House two and a half years ago, I've said repeatedly that President Trump's reckless and indecent conduct makes him the worst president in modern history. This past week, he's continued to prove my point by:

Suggesting we drop nuclear bombs on hurricanes (no, seriously);
Further targeting immigrant families by threatening to take away birthright citizenship, a basic right outlined in the Constitution;
Embarrassing our country by refusing to participate in an international panel on climate change at the G7 summit;
Publicly lobbying for Russia and Vladimir Putin to be readmitted to the G7 after they were kicked out for invading Ukraine.

What do Republicans in the House and Senate have to say about this? Nothing. Or worse yet, they make up excuses to defend and cheer Trump on. Next thing you know, they'll be saying that nuking hurricanes is the kind of bold, outside the box thinking we need. It's pathetic.

Trump's actions are not only an embarrassment, they are dangerous. And if we don't stand up, our country and democracy will feel the negative impacts for decades to come.

I'm continuing to work to hold this out-of-control president accountable while supporting Democratic leaders across the country running up against conservative incumbents and challengers -- and it takes a lot of resources to do it.

November 3rd, 2020 can't come soon enough. But until then, let's make sure we have what it takes to keep up the pressure on Trump and the GOP, and get out the vote for Democrats so we can restore decency and sanity to Washington.
