Dear Friend, We’ve turned the page on another year, and our hearts are full as we contemplate the endless possibilities of 2026. But there’s still a bit of 2025 business to tend to for many of us. We’re talking, of course, about taxes.
Taxes don’t usually rank among people’s favorite subjects. But what if we told you that, as a Michigan resident, tax season gives you a chance to brighten the futures of thousands of Michigan children by simply checking a box? It’s a simple action that can make a big difference. Children Trust Michigan (CTM) is one of five organizations to which Michigan residents can give voluntary contributions when they file state income taxes. By designating CTM (No. 3 on the voluntary contribution schedule) as a charity of choice on the MI-1040 tax form and completing tax form 4642, you can directly contribute to child abuse prevention efforts. Your contributions enable CTM to pursue its mission by providing funds for a broad network of prevention partners who are embedded in their communities and meet specific local needs. There’s a prevention partner serving in all 83 Michigan counties — including yours. A nonprofit that operates as a true public-private partnership, CTM relies on charitable contributions to fund our programming. In 2025, thanks to supporters like you, we were able to empower Prevention Partners across the state so that:
We encourage you to take this opportunity to support Michigan children and families with either the click of a mouse or the stroke of a pen. You can help ensure Michigan’s children grow up safe, supported and surrounded by opportunity. 4642, 2025 Michigan Voluntary Contributions and Organ Donor Registry Schedule Thank you for being part of this community of care. Together, we’re building a future full of hope for every child. With gratitude,
Suzanne Greenberg Executive Director
