Paxton Sues Company for Illegally Disposing Wind Turbine Blades Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against a recycling company and other affiliates for unauthorized disposal of industrial solid waste after it was discovered that the company was illegally disposing of wind turbine parts in Sweetwater. Global Fiberglass Solutions of Texas LLC, whose primary place of business is located in Kirkland, Washington, was hired by multiple companies to break down and recycle turbine blades and parts. According to Paxton’s suit, the company failed to properly dispose of the materials and instead created a stockpile of more than 3,000 turbine parts.

Paxton is asking the court to issue injunctions that prohibit further industrial solid waste from being placed in the facilities. He also wants the company to be forced to remove all of the unauthorized solid industrial waste.

While previous iterations focused largely on border security and border-related issues, the new plan looks more broadly at crime, state infrastructure, and cybersecurity. The Texas Education Agency lists the district superintendent, athletic director, and high school principal as "under review" by the agency's Educator Investigations Division.

Parents have accused the athletic director and principal—husband and wife administrators with supervisory authority over Jenkins—of failing to report past complaints about him. The administrators have also been accused of retaliation against parents and school staff who report misconduct.

No criminal charges have been filed against Jenkins, but the Collinsville Police Department maintains that its investigation into Jenkins’ alleged grooming of girls is ongoing. Judge Suspended for Unlawful Detention of Attorney A Democrat judge in Bexar County, known for keeping an LGBT flag in her courtroom, has been suspended without pay by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct for unlawfully restraining an attorney. The trouble began for Judge Rosie Speedlin-Gonzalez in December 2024, when she reportedly handcuffed a San Antonio defense attorney during a courtroom dispute. Speedlin-Gonzales, an outspoken LGBT advocate, was criminally indicted last month for unlawful restraint.

Speedlin-Gonzalez is no stranger to controversy. In 2019, she made headlines for the LGBT rainbow flag. Three years later, a handgun was found in her baggage by airport security; she was fined but did not face charges. The judge has also been admonished for congratulating or praising certain attorneys, creating an appearance of bias. Abbott Says Texas Will Fight Radical Islam ‘Every Step of the Way’ Gov. Greg Abbott says Texas is moving aggressively [[link removed]] to block the expansion of radical Islamic organizations, restrict the use of H-1B visas by state entities, and ensure illegal border crossings remain at historic lows—regardless of who occupies the White House in the future.

In an interview [[link removed]] with Texas Scorecard, Abbott said [[link removed]] recent actions by Democrat-run cities and school districts underscore why the state has stepped in to confront groups he has designated as foreign terrorist organizations. "Our schools are not here to sponsor terrorist-based organizations."

The governor also defended his proposal to create a statewide prosecutor. Abbott said the goal is to address what he calls prosecutorial malpractice by certain local district attorneys who refuse to enforce state law.
