The ceremony also honored 13 individuals with the Bob Klein Legendary Service Award for their 25 or more years of service in the Arlington hospitality industry. PRESS RELEASE RECAP: CHAMBER DAY AT THE CAPITOL The Arlington Chamber continues to advocate for policies that strengthen the business community as the Virginia General Assembly’s 2026 session moves forward. This advocacy was front and center during Chamber Day at the Capitol on February 4, when Chamber representatives met with state officials and legislators to advance the Chamber’s 2026 Public Policy Positions and priority legislation. A delegation of Arlington Chamber members joined the Virginia Chamber of Commerce program featuring remarks from Lt. Governor Ghazala Hashmi, Secretary of Commerce and Trade Carrie Chenery, and General Assembly leadership. Our members then met with members of Arlington's General Assembly delegation, or their staff, to discuss our policy positions and priority bills. These conversations touched on bills concerning tourism funding, procurement, housing, child care, and economic development. In addition, our delegation met with Deputy Secretary of Finance James Heo, a former member of the Chamber's Board of Directors. For more information about the Chamber’s General Assembly priorities, contact Government Affairs Manager John Musso at [email protected].
