Hey John – it’s JB Pritzker here with an urgent message.

Time and again, Donald Trump has proven that he’s nothing but a wannabe dictator.

So before I go on, I have to ask you personally: Will you step up in this critical moment and stand with me and Democratic governors against Donald Trump and his dangerous agenda?

John, in his first year, Donald Trump has put himself before the American people at every single turn:

He’s used armed, militarized agents to provoke Americans and even threatened to use the Insurrection Act to send military troops into our streets.

He’s sabotaged our economy and threatened the Federal Reserve to cover up his own mess.

He’s taken unconstitutional military action and put our troops in harm's way with no long-term strategy.

He’s gutted health care funding and driven up costs for working families.

He’s called for the arrest of Democrats pushing back against his dangerous agenda – including me and fellow Democratic governors.

He’s even called for members of Congress to be put to death.

I want you to hear this from me: Tyranny requires your fear – but democracy requires your courage.

It’s clear he’ll stop at nothing to create division and chaos wherever he can. But I’ve made this abundantly clear during my time as governor, John: We will stand up for our communities in the face of attacks and injustice.

But I can’t do it alone. Will you join me and Democratic governors nationwide – the leaders doing everything in their power to hold the line against Donald Trump’s agenda – and commit to fighting back? We need at least 10,000 Democrats like you to sign on right away.
