You probably saw the headlines this week. Washington is right back to doing what it does best. Spending money we do not have and calling it leadership.
Here is the truth they do not like to admit. Both parties keep voting for bloated budgets that explode our debt and push the bill onto your kids and grandkids.
I have voted no. I have forced debates. I have demanded roll-call votes. I have taken heat from my own party for saying that Washington should have to balance a checkbook just like every American family does.
It is not easy being the one who stands in the way of the spending machine. But someone has to do it.
If we are ever going to break Washington’s addiction to waste, it will take grassroots Americans standing with me and backing up this fight.
