Rob Sand for Governor!
My name is Tracy, and I am a recovering member of the Democratic and
Republican parties.
As the disappointment and disgust from both sides grew, I cut ties and
became No Party. There seemed to be little hope of change as the
corruption and alliances are deep in the political rings including the
state level. In the meantime, I paid attention to our elected auditor, a
dude named Rob Sand. You may have heard of him, he is running for Iowa
Governor!
Since Rob was elected auditor in 2019 and 2022, he has held annual town
halls in all 99 counties to hear directly from his constituents. He
continued this tour in 2025, which allowed Iowans to interact with him now
as a candidate for Governor. Rob welcomes and encourages all parties to
attend, as he understands collaboration and differences in opinions are a
good thing for us taxpayers.
I attended three of Rob's town halls last fall and finally have hope for
this great state of Iowa! I am not a churchgoer but I felt the fellowship:
Republicans, Democrats, Independents together in one room singing,
laughing, tackling tough topics, ready to get back to decent humanity. Rob
has strong faith, which shows in his actions and even his social media. He
often posts reminders to be kind to all, including his opponents as
division will hinder progress.
As we left the Marion County town hall, my proud Republican friend said,
“He’s a decent guy, this could be the one time I vote for the other side!”
Opening minds and hearts is what Rob is doing already, and I thank him for
being that breath of fresh air Iowa needs. I encourage all of you to
attend a town hall this year and see what all the hype is about!
