Last week, I voted NO on funding DHS because Republicans were not willing to bring significant or serious reforms to ICE.

We have seen them terrorize our streets, separate families, and murder American citizens in cold blood. That is not immigration enforcement: It’s martial law.

I am ready to start negotiations on comprehensive, common sense guidelines to rein in ICE’s lawlessness and protect innocent Americans. But we cannot have long-lasting reforms unless we officially impeach and oust Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.

It is frankly un-American to keep her in control of an agency that has been weaponized and used to spread fear and terror to our communities, that has continued to marginalize and target people of color, and has ignored court orders to send innocent people to prison-camps in El Salvador.

The American people are waking-up to the atrocities committed and perpetuated by Kristi Noem’s ICE. It’s time to get her out of there.
