John,

$600 a week.

That’s what the CARES Act allotted for people unemployed due to Covid-19, and Shelley Moore-Capito thinks it’s too much. She claims it’s encouraging people to stay on unemployment rather than go back to work. She looks forward to those benefits being rolled back at the end of the month because it’ll “push some of these folks” back into the workforce.

Help us get out-of-touch, privileged “leaders” like Capito out of office by supporting our people-focused campaign TODAY. [[link removed]]

Let’s unpack what Capito said.

First, there’s no such thing as getting rich from unemployment benefits. People are living paycheck to paycheck, unsure when or IF their jobs will ever come back. In places across the country an additional $600 a week can be a lifeline for folks facing eviction, caring for their children at home and for those already burdened by systemic poverty.

Second, the U.S. leads the world in Covid-19 cases. Americans don’t want to stay on unemployment because they’re getting rich; it’s because they face a life or death choice in returning to work.

If our representatives truly want a strong economy they SHOULD be talking about real solutions: A living wage. A Federal Job’s guarantee. Medicare for All. Not forcing people back to work during an unprecedented pandemic.

Chip in $10 to me and BNC today, so we can create an America where people don't have to face such terrible choices in the future. [[link removed]]

Captio has got to go [[link removed]]

Capito doesn’t care about the people of West Virginia, or this country. She never has. She cares about one thing: holding a seat bankrolled by corporate PACs that shell out millions to prevent programs that would be GOOD for Americans - ESPECIALLY during troubled times like these - such as Medicare For All and a living wage. She’s happily sold her vote, and the people of West Virginia have paid the real price of her greed.

Unlike Capito, my vote will never be for sale. I’ll only answer to the people.

But without the runway to keep up our digital campaign and reach every voter possible in these strange times, Capito might actually get another six years in the Senate. West Virginians and millions of their fellow Americans can’t afford another six years of her.

Split a contribution between my campaign and Brand New Congress, so we can unseat Capito and protect West Virginians and all Americans.
