No voter should have to choose between exercising their right to vote and protecting themselves and their family during a pandemic.

This just makes no sense, folks.

Kentucky’s secretary of state just announced a plan to roll back voting by mail and early voting for the general election—even as COVID-19 cases are on the rise in the commonwealth.

This runs counter to everything we learned in the primary, where expanded mail-in and early voting allowed record numbers of voters to safely cast ballots.

No voter should have to choose between exercising their constitutional right to vote and protecting themselves and their family during a pandemic.

Will you chip in right now and help our campaign fight for expanded ballot access so every voter can safely participate in the November 3rd election?

We’ve heard a lot from some politicians who pretend to be worried about threats of “fraud” when it comes to voting by mail. (Never mind that most of those folks cast their ballots … through the mail.) What they’re actually worried about is what happens when more people vote.

No one needs to take my word for it. Kentucky showed the country what happens when you give voters more options to cast their ballots during our primary election last month. The verdict is clear: Mail-in and early voting is effective, safe, secure—and popular.

This is simple: As long as it’s unsafe for crowds to gather, there’s no good reason to roll back early and mail-in voting.

Chip in today, and let’s fight to make sure every Kentucky voter has safe access to the ballot this fall.

Thank you,

Amy
