We need Medicare for All.
I’ve been saying it for years, and I’m guessing you agree.
But while it may have been longstanding, the case for universal healthcare has never been clearer. The pandemic makes inescapable clear how your neighbors’ health—and healthcare—impacts your own.
Meanwhile, as the economy continues to shrink, millions are also losing their jobs, among with their employment-based health plans.
That’s why, with the Democratic convention coming up, more than 360 delegates around the country decided to do something about it.
Can you make a small contribution to our fast-growing campaign, whose platform does include Medicare for All—as well as the Green New Deal, federal cannabis legalization, defunding the police and more?
These Convention delegates, most of whom supported Bernie during the primary, have pledged to thumbs-down the platform if it doesn’t include Medicare for All. And sadly, right now it doesn’t.
Healthcare is a human right. As our lives and communities are ravaged by COVID-19, more and more Americans have come to understand that.
So if the Democratic party doesn’t adjust its platform before the convention, there’s likely to be a showdown on the convention floor. And there should be.
Obviously, ejecting Donald Trump from the White House is important. But if his replacement doesn’t have a mandate to protect everyone’s health, during the worst medical crisis in a century, what have we gained?
In Congress, we’ll make Medicare for All a priority. It’s never been more urgent. Can you chip in and help get us there?
Together, we can tell corporate Democrats and the DNC that if they won’t show up for our communities and Medicare for All during a pandemic, we’ll show them the door.
We have the power. Let’s use it together.
