There’s no denying the facts. Insurance companies make money when we don’t get the health care we need.

The largest insurance company in the country just recorded its highest profit in a quarter ever while thousands are dying and millions are losing their jobs.

Axios Headline

UnitedHealth reported more than $6.6 billion in profits in just three months as COVID-19 has delayed non-emergency medical services and less people are getting the care they need – meaning insurance companies are making fewer payments to doctors and hospitals.1 Meanwhile, an estimated 27 million Americans lost their employer-sponsored health insurance in that same time period during a global pandemic.

There’s no denying the facts. Insurance companies make money when we don’t get the health care we need. Their business model depends on less people getting care because it’s what drives profits – and that’s why they constantly seek to deny coverage.

We need a health care system that’s built to prioritize delivering health care – not denying it in order to maximize profit. We need Medicare for All.

In order to win, we need to build a massive movement, and you have a key role to play. Will you join a Movement Builder training this week to get started?

Corporations like UnitedHealth have billions of dollars in profits to lose if we reform the system. That’s part of the reason why Medicare for All would save so much money, and why they’re willing to spend so much to make sure our movement fails.

In order to overcome their influence over our government, we need to build independent political power and change the landscape until it’s impossible for our leaders to ignore the demands of millions of people actively calling for change.

There are millions of people in the country that say they support Medicare for All yet haven’t taken any sort of action to make it happen. Public opinion is on our side, but if we aren’t able to translate some of that support into active involvement in our movement, it will be nearly impossible to win.

During the training, you’ll learn how to use your personal relationships and connections to turn passive supporters of Medicare for All into active ones.

Please RSVP now for a training session and invite your friends to join you.

Our mission is to support and train activists like you to have conversations with your friends and family and invite them to take one of the following action steps:

Thank you so much for reading this far, and we really hope to see you on a training this week.
