When ICE bought a facility the size of seven football fields in Surprise, Arizona, they didn't tell the city council. They didn't tell the mayor. They just moved in.

That is how they want to operate: In the shadows, hoping that local communities are too busy or too uninformed to notice that a detention camp is being built next to their homes.

We are going to ruin their surprise.

As part of the new phase of Operation Liberty, we aren't just sending investigators to these sites; we are launching massive public awareness campaigns in the surrounding towns.

We are going to put up posters in local businesses. We are going to run digital ads on local news sites. We are going to go door-to-door if we have to. We are going to make sure every resident knows exactly what the federal government is doing in their backyard.

We are mobilizing opposition from the ground up. When people realize that their water supply is being drained and their town is being militarized to warehouse 8,000 people, they fight back.
