Sanctuary cities, and states that have sanctuary cities, like New Mexico, are going to lose millions of dollars in federal funding at the start of the month.
This is funding for things from early childhood development programs, to police departments, to infrastructure, to support for unhoused individuals, and so much more. This is critical funding that our state will be on its own to recover or to defund these programs.
All because cities in our state have declared themselves sanctuaries. We have to stand up for our neighbors and ourselves.
