Trump urges Republicans to ‘take over’ and ‘nationalize’ voting

Trump is saying the quiet part out loud: He wants Republicans to “nationalize” our elections.

Let’s be clear about what that means:

They’re coming for our democracy, our right to vote, and this Congressional seat.

Speaker Mike Johnson backed him up with dangerous rhetoric and baseless claims of fraud about close races including ours -- the same playbook Republicans used to try and overturn the 2020 election. Now they’re laying the groundwork to do it again in November.

They’re not trying to earn your vote. They’re trying to rig the system.

In California, that means coming after districts like ours -- where grassroots turnout made the difference. We flipped CA-45 by 653 votes. That’s the margin they want to erase. And it’s why we need to stay focused, get involved, and vote.
