I’m thrilled to be supporting Mandela Barnes to be the next Governor of Wisconsin. Will you chip in any amount that is meaningful to you to keep up Mandela’s momentum in this race?

In the Senate, I see the biggest challenges facing our country — and what’s at stake if we don’t have the right leaders to tackle them.

We need leaders with a bold vision not only for the present, but for generations to come. It’s how I know Mandela Barnes is the right choice for Wisconsin at this critical moment in time.

I’m no stranger to a tough race.

When I ran for Senate, people counted me out time and time again. But I had broken barriers before as the first woman to lead Prince George’s County and the first Black woman to lead any county in Maryland history.

When we won, we defied all expectations, and I became the first Black woman to represent Maryland in the Senate.

I know the same can happen in this campaign — Wisconsin made history once before when Mandela Barnes was elected Lieutenant Governor, and now we have the opportunity to do it again: electing Mandela as the youngest and first Black Governor in state history.

GOP dark money groups spent millions against me to try to flip my seat — and they’re getting ready to do the same in Wisconsin. It was only because of grassroots supporters that we were able to fight back against their war chest.
