Today marks 6 years since Donald Trump fired me after I blew the whistle on his not-so-perfect phone call with Ukraine.

I risked everything by reporting that phone call. I stand by that decision six years later.

When I joined the Army, I took an oath to defend our nation and its values. I served at the Pentagon under presidents from both parties, putting our nation’s safety before politics.

The decision to report that call wasn’t for political gain. It was to protect our democracy. I believe I served my nation by helping expose corruption by the chief executive, and I would do it again today.

The reality is, we are still in the fight for the soul of our country. We need leaders who have the courage to take on the corruption and lower costs for our families in the Senate.

I know we can defeat Donald Trump’s handpicked candidate and win this race…but I can’t do it without you.
