After Donald Trump and Republicans voted to overturn limits on oil and gas drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, they are now planning to have a massive lease sale this winter.

This sounds as bad as it is! Trump is planning to sell off these pristine wildlife areas to the highest bidder — allowing oil and gas companies to drill and industrialize the areas that caribou, polar bears, migratory birds, and Indigenous communities have relied on for generations.

Our SEEC Members are fighting back. In fact, Rep. Jared Huffman has recently introduced the Arctic Refuge Protection Act that would permanently enshrine the Arctic Refuge as a “wilderness” and halt any new oil and gas leasing and drilling.
