Since we sent this note over the weekend, Joe Kennedy has only ramped up his desperate attacks. At the debate, he could not answer whether he was motivated by conviction or political convenience, instead, he doubled down on the same negative smears.

Joe Kennedy got into this race because a couple of polls showed him up by double digits. He thought he would have an easy ride to a Senate seat, but our grassroots movement is giving him a real run for his money.
First, U-Mass Lowell released a poll showing us down by just two points — well within the margin of error. His initial lead has evaporated.
Then, Joe Kennedy tried to blunt our movement’s momentum with $2.4 million in TV ads. He thought he could use all the money from his max-out donors to drown out Ed’s message.
Now, that’s not working apparently, and Joe Kennedy has still not made a clear, positive case for why he’s in this race. So instead, he is launching negative, craven attacks against Ed.
It’s clear that Joe Kennedy is desperate. But we cannot let his smears go unanswered.
