✅ The good news: Our JanePAC-endorsed climate champion Christian Menefee WON his race for Congress in Texas, shrinking the GOP House majority to just one vote! Christian has spent years as Harris County Attorney suing fossil fuel giants and protecting long-ignored communities from pollution. Now he's in Washington, ready to continue that fight — and push back against where Donald Trump is taking this country.

❌ The bad news: Donald Trump is openly calling on Republicans to seize control of elections and “nationalize” voting in “at least 15 places” across the country. This is a blatantly unconstitutional power grab that would strip states of their authority and undermine free and fair elections.

Let's be clear about what's happening: Trump sees the momentum we’re building ahead of the midterms, and he's running scared. So instead of letting voters choose their representatives at the ballot box, he's threatening to trample our freedoms and silence our voices by rigging the system in his favor.

That’s authoritarianism. Full stop. And it's exactly why we can't let up now.

Christian's victory proves we can win, even in “red states” like Texas, when we organize and fight back together. But the midterms are going to be the fight of our lives, and we need to be ready.
