Happy Black History Month! This is the time to educate ourselves about how Black Americans played a critical role in the development of our great nation and to speak up about our history and the current fight we’re facing.

The Trump regime has dedicated itself to chipping away at our legacy, rights, and opportunities. In fact, one of Donald Trump’s first actions was terminating federal government diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. And then just last month, they moved to erase our history with an executive order to whitewash museums, parks, and landmarks, which resulted in the removal of an exhibit on slavery at Philadelphia’s Independence National Historical Park.

As a proud member of the Congressional Black Caucus, I am extremely disappointed by the blatant and ongoing attacks on Black Americans and Black communities. Trump will do anything to make America less fair, less just, and less inclusive.
