Voters should select their elected officials, not the other way around. Virginia Democrats have abandoned this idea, and they are now trying to gerrymander Virginia’s congressional districts to eliminate Republican representation in Congress.
I am confident that the voters and the courts will reject their unconstitutional power grab in the referendum on April 21. I plan on running and winning re-election this November in the current sixth congressional district, and I will continue working on behalf of the people of the Shenandoah and Roanoke Valleys in the U.S. House.
