This weekend, a video ad promoting adoption ([link removed] ) will air in select major markets during the big game. This is a huge deal. With such a massive TV audience tuned in, the ads tend to spark as much conversation as the game itself.

A message affirming life and rejecting abortion will be seen by millions this weekend.

The video highlights adoption from the perspective of a young woman who is just learning she is pregnant. It shows that the option of adoption is too often forgotten when people are trying to help women facing unexpected pregnancies.

The main takeaway from this video is the most important message we can send to the world: abortion is never needed.

Women deserve better than being told their only option is to end their child’s life. Children deserve the chance to live. Adoption is one way both mother and child can be supported.

Adoption can help heal a wound and give a child a chance at a lifetime of love.

I’m encouraged to know that millions of people will see this message, many of whom may never have seriously considered adoption before. And I’m grateful that an ad like this is running on Super Bowl Sunday on such a massive stage. That matters.

Culture changes when people are reminded of truths that have been pushed aside, especially when those truths are presented with love and compassion.

I’m grateful for the beautiful example of adoptive families and also to mothers who entrusted their children to loving parents instead of falling for the trap of abortion. These stories serve as vital inspiration to others and, ultimately, change the world.
