Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Florida, down the road from Georgia,
is quickly becoming a major global epicenter for the COVID-19
crisis, and DeSantis’s repeated and intentional bungling of
Florida’s pandemic response is putting Floridians and Georgians
at risk!

With thousands of deaths in Florida alone and tens of
thousands of new cases per day, Florida is dealing with some of
the worst of the COVID-19 crisis. Gov. DeSantis has made a series
of missteps in his response including a refusal to institute a
statewide mask mandate, neglecting to shut down the state early
in the crisis, downplaying COVID-19’s severity, reopening the
state before it was safe, and so much more.

DeSantis’s incompetence has already resulted in countless
preventable deaths. We can’t allow behavior like this to go

And that’s not all. DeSantis has recently ordered schools
to reopen in-person in August. This is an incredibly dangerous
and reckless order, which will endanger the lives of countless
students, teachers, and administrative staff, not to mention
their families and the rest of their communities. His order has
even resulted in the largest teachers union in Florida suing
DeSantis for his almost-willfully incompetent leadership.

Even President Trump, with his own record of inept
leadership and disregard for COVID-19, has moderated his position
in comparison to Gov. DeSantis by acknowledging the “tough
position” that Florida is in while DeSantis continues to paint a
rosy picture of its COVID-19 situation.

While the media is focused on President Trump, Hank’s
working to shine a spotlight on other forms of reckless
Republican behavior — like Gov. DeSantis. Chip in now to help us
