President Trump is hoping to hold the next G-7 summit at his very own Trump National Doral resort in Miami. That’s the very definition of a conflict of interest, and it’s precisely the type of corruption we’ve been fighting against every day for the last two and a half years. We’re examining what type of legal action we may be able to take to address this abuse of the presidency to turn a profit, because we can’t let this corruption go unchallenged.
Here at CREW, we’re deeply concerned by these constant threats to our democracy, just like you. Seeing this corruption play out on the world stage is overwhelming, but our work tracking and responding to conflicts of interest over the last two years has prepared us to fight back aggressively. We’re energized, organized and working hard to hold the Trump administration accountable—and we can only do this essential work because of supporters like you.
Will you contribute now to support holding our leaders accountable, exposing corruption and fighting for the rule of law?
Last week, as part of our ongoing investigations into the president’s corruption, CREW obtained documents shining important new light on a major scandal at the VA. More than 300 pages of emails show that career VA officials were forced to waste taxpayer resources by working with three Mar-a-Lago members on government contracts. None of these three customers of the president had any specific expertise in the policies they were pushing or government experience. They were given access simply because they are the president’s paying customers.
President Trump’s corruption isn’t merely unethical, it is boundless and persistent. Just this week we have seen its direct impact on veterans’ health initiatives and American foreign policy.
As the summer comes to a close and Congress prepares to return to Washington to continue much-needed oversight, we’re counting on supporters like you to help us continue our essential work. Will you contribute now to help CREW continue our crucial legal and investigative work combating corruption and protecting our democracy?
Thank you,
Noah Bookbinder
