This week, I called into a conservative morning talk radio show where Lauren Boebert was on air bragging about her “honesty” and claiming she doesn’t pretend to vote one way and do another.
So I confronted her. Live.
I pointed out that she refuses to show up in our district for a real, face-to-face town hall and that she said she “doesn’t give a rip about Epstein.” So I asked the simplest question of all: if she doesn’t care when powerful people abuse children, what does she actually care about?
She dodged. And she exposed who she really is. Because Boebert’s record doesn’t match her rhetoric. Not even close:

She claims her tele-town halls are transparent, yet her most recent Oct. 15 event was never released to the public.

She takes credit for infrastructure projects after voting against their funding.

She couldn’t get enough support from her own R colleagues to override her favorite president’s veto of the critical Arkansas Valley Conduit for clean drinking water.

She goes on the radio claiming she supports rural hospitals—after voting to put their funding at risk.
Lauren Boebert thinks us voters are stupid. She repeatedly adds earmarks to funding bills that she herself votes against. Then she turns around and campaigns like she delivered results after she voted to kill them. Over and over again.
On air, she accused others of pretending. She’s telling on herself. She is the one pretending to be good at her job. And she’s hoping no one will notice.
The worst part about her response was what she failed to say. When I asked what she actually cares about, Lauren Boebert didn’t even mention the hardworking people of CO-4. Not the families in Douglas. Not the farmers in Morgan or Weld Counties. Not the patients in the rural hospitals in Cheyenne Wells, Lamar, or Hugo. Maybe if she were not a carpetbagger and actually from here, she would care about our communities.

Taking on a serial liar like Lauren Boebert who is backed by MAGA billionaire cash isn’t easy. But I am a hometown fighter with a backbone and moments like yesterday prove that when we confront her with facts, she crumbles.
