I need to say something plainly, because too much of Democratic politics right now is built on manipulation, and people are fed up.
If you are on Democratic email lists, including from some of my own primary opponents, you have probably noticed the same pattern over and over again.
Fake urgency.
Bogus matching claims.
Manufactured deadlines.
Emails designed to scare you, guilt you, or trick you into donating.
Those emails are not an accident. They are written by corporate political consulting firms that treat grassroots donors like data points and revenue streams instead of people.
I am running to take Lauren Boebert’s seat because Washington is broken. And if we are serious about fixing it, then we have to stop copying the same dishonest playbook that broke it in the first place.
That is why I am doing this campaign differently.
There is no fake match in this email.
There is no made up deadline tonight.
There is no consultant pushing me to manipulate you into donating.
If you decide to contribute, it is because you believe in this movement. Not because someone lied to you.
Here is something that needs to be said out loud.
If a campaign is willing to mislead you to get your money, they will mislead you once they have power.
I will not do that.
I am a working class dad. An engineer. Someone who has lived paycheck to paycheck and knows exactly what it feels like to be stretched thin in an economy that keeps asking more while giving less. Integrity is not a slogan to me. It is a line I do not cross.
That means something very specific in this campaign.
No corporate cash.
No dark money.
No outsourcing our fundraising to unethical consulting firms.
No selling donor data.
No abusing your inbox or your privacy.
Protecting donor information matters. Respecting your privacy matters. Treating supporters with dignity matters. And yes, it is harder to run a campaign this way. But it is necessary.
Because if we want a Congress that tells the truth, we need campaigns that tell the truth first.
