On a list of things folks know about me (Iowa, skateboarder, famously
frugal, etc.), I’m a pie guy.
It’s a top-tier dessert, no notes — but that’s not the only pie I dig.
As State Auditor, I started our P.I.E. (Public Innovations and
Efficiencies) program to lower costs and provide more efficient,
sustainable government services.
The program is aimed at cutting government waste and modernizing our
systems. Like energy efficient windows in public buildings.
[ [link removed] ]Before I go on: If you support more efficient government and
responsible use of your tax dollars — a novel concept, I know — I hope
you’ll chip in a few bucks toward my campaign for governor!
[ [link removed] ]Chip in a Few Bucks >>
I’ve got P.I.E. (and let’s be honest, normal pie, too) on the brain
because I’ve been handing out our 2025 P.I.E. awards to recipients who
have done their due diligence to improve government efficiency and cut
wasteful spending.
Good work, regardless of who’s doing it, deserves recognition.
Pushing for more government efficiency, while also restoring oversight and
accountability, are huge parts of why I’m running for governor. Iowans
want and deserve more.
If and when I’m elected governor, I’ll do everything in my power to make
sure that our government is truly of the people, by the people, and for
the people.
[ [link removed] ]Iowans are hungry for a system that they trust is working with their
best interests in mind. Will you please chip in $25 to elect a governor
who will make accountability, efficiency, and transparency top priorities?
