He emphasized the need to prioritize spending as adversaries like China and Russia continue to pose a looming threat to our nation — as well as our closest allies. “The highest purpose of military strength is not to wage war, but to prevent war in the first place. Peace can only be preserved when strength is unmistakable and resolve is unquestioned. America’s Federal Debt is Staggering  Capping credit-card rates misses the real affordability problem: Washington’s own debt. Americans paid $160 billion in credit-card interest last year, but over $1 trillion in interest on federal borrowing—pushing up rates on mortgages, cars, and small-business loans. AAF Senior Research Fellow Rachel Greszler explains how lawmakers are skipping the minimum payment and imposing a stealth tax on families today, with even bigger costs looming tomorrow. As AAF Senior Legal Fellow Thomas Jipping emphasizes in his latest piece, treating Hyde as a bargaining chip isn’t “flexibility”; it’s forcing moral complicity — especially since a majority of Americans remain against taxpayer-funded abortion.
