Hello Friends,

The day has finally come.

The “Act creating a 2050 roadmap to a clean and thriving commonwealth” S.2500 <[link removed]> has been released from the Ways and Means Committee, and we are expecting to have the amendments we are seeking submitted in the next hour.

Please call/email your Representative AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to urge them to vote for the Road Map Bill Amendment H.4912 <[link removed]> as well as Environmental Justice Bill H.4264 <[link removed]>.

If you have not done so already, please join Mass Power Forward’s rapid response team <[link removed]> so that you can help us act fast and rally support for our amendments in the few hours we will have this evening and tomorrow morning before the bill comes to a vote.

Rep Dave Rogers submitted Amendment 17 to the Road Map bill to specifically include landfill emissions, gas leaks, and emissions from the agricultural sector. Rep Lindsay Sabadosa will be submitting an amendment to speed up the reporting and regulation process to be more in line with science. Rep Robinson will be submitting an amendment to invest in working and environmental justice communities. And Rep Adrian Madaro will file an amendment with the Environmental Justice language from bill H.4264.

Sign up to be notified once the amendments have been submitted. <[link removed]>

We cannot let the Massachusetts House rush an ineffective bill by us. Thanks to committed activists like you, we are ready to fight to steer Massachusetts towards climate justice.

In solidarity,

Sam Payne
