Trump’s nominees were handed the softest possible test — questions about reality: Who won the 2020 election? Was January 6 an attack on the U.S. Capitol?
And once again, they refused to answer.
These nominees chose to avoid historical fact and hide behind rehearsed non-answers and legal wordplay — dodging any answer that might upset Trump.
Senator Richard Blumenthal called it what it was:
“I am insulted as a member of this body that you won’t tell us the truth… You’ve all been carefully rehearsed… I think you failed the test.”
He’s right. They failed — deliberately.
These nominees are demonstrating loyalty. They’re signaling that they’ll protect Trump’s lies, excuse political violence, and stay silent when democracy is attacked, all in exchange for a lifetime seat on the bench.
And here’s the most enraging part… Nineteen Senate Democrats have voted to confirm these judges.
Nineteen. Let that sink in.
And every vote “yes” helps pack the courts with Trump cronies — judges who won’t defend elections, won’t condemn insurrection, and won’t protect our rights when it counts.
