I was on CNN yesterday morning because we know that any new DHS funding needs to come with guardrails.

[link removed] [[link removed]]As Democrats, we are united in affirming that, as U.S. citizens, we have the right to vote and expect free and fair elections. But now, this administration is threatening to send ICE to polling places and intimidate voters.

Donald Trump will not be stealing this midterm election or 2028.

My colleagues and I are serious about making a real difference by reigning in ICE, Customs and Border Protection, and the US Border Patrol, and ensuring that the American people can move around their neighborhoods without fear.

Here are a few of our simple but effective demands:

* DHS officers must obtain a judicial warrant for targeted enforcement
* Body-worn cameras must be required when interacting with the public
* Agents must be prohibited from wearing masks

Donald Trump ran on a promise saying that he was going to root out the violent criminals and make sure that he was protecting the safety of the American people. He also said he would focus on affordability and the economy.

We know that he has no credibility on these promises.
