Friends, we have a short window right now:
Congress is negotiating a new DHS funding agreement, and the deadline is one week from today — Friday, February 13.
As of now, Susan Collins is still supporting Kristi Noem, Border Patrol , and ICE. The same ICE that’s been carrying out violent, lawless, un-American operations across the country. Sure, she’s “concerned” about the brutal murders we all witnessed on camera — but how many times is Susan Collins going to share her so-called “concern” about this administration before she actually does something about it?
And she CAN do something. As Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee — the very committee in charge of negotiating this new DHS funding deal — she could single-handedly end this madness.
I’ve been hearing about Susan Collins’ power practically my entire life. Now would be a good time for her to start using it.
Mainers are tired of press releases and hand-wringing. We’re tired of watching state-sanctioned violence get funded with billions of dollars while politicians just shrug.
It’s time to turn up the pressure. Add your name and join us in telling Susan Collins that Mainers say NO funding for violent ICE terror. [[link removed]]
TELL SUSAN COLLINS >> [[link removed]]
And once you do that, call her office directly and tell her there, too: (202) 224-2523.
Stand up. Speak out. Demand better.
In solidarity,
Troy Jackson
