Growth and Accountability
Dear John,
2025 saw Indiana’s economy boom, outpacing our neighbors and the national trend at record-breaking speed. Wages increase by 10% year over year. The average wage of a new job jumped to more than $40 an hour. Job creators committed to hiring nearly 11,000 new employees. The cost to incentivize new jobs declined by 68%. These are the measurable results that dedicated conservative leadership has delivered.
At the same time, Governor Braun and our Republican leaders worked to restore accountability to state government. They achieved $465 million in Medicaid savings, stopped nearly $80 million in tax return fraud, identified more than 10,000 stolen identities, and eliminated 2,000 vacant positions.
This week’s announcements show that momentum isn't slowing, with new private-sector investment continuing to bring high-paying jobs to Indiana and decisive action to root out waste, fraud, and abuse across state government. Make no mistake, growth and accountability are on the ballot in November, and as today marks the last day to file for candidacy in 2026, that is what we will keep fighting for.
As always, thank you for being a part of our team, and please feel free to reach out if there's any way I can be of assistance.
Yours in service,
Lana Keesling, Indiana GOP Chairwoman
