Hi John, it's Megan from Sunrise Twin Cities.

Minneapolis has been occupied for months. ICE agents drive around in oversized rental cars busting down doors, ramming cars off the road and leaving them there, and kidnapping our loved ones and neighbors in front of our eyes.

I’ve seen incredible solidarity from around the Twin Cities and also felt the solidarity coming from across Sunrise Movement and our supporters. People from all walks of life are stepping up to defend our coworkers, our neighbors, and our loved ones. But we can’t do this forever.

We need ICE out.

Thankfully, military occupations have weaknesses. They need food to eat, cars to rent, and most importantly, places to stay.

We’ve been organizing to kick ICE out of local hotels with a number of creative strategies, and one of them is SO easy for you to join in on. [[link removed]]

Here in Minnesota, we’ve been hosting Wide Awakes: noisy disruptions late at night outside the hotels we know ICE is staying at.

But we’ve also been getting help from people around the country to book up (and then cancel) Hiltons across the Twin Cities.

The strategy is simple: book a refundable room, then cancel it right before the refund deadline. This fills up the rooms so there aren't any for ICE to book. And it helps us show Hilton that Minneapolis won’t stand by while they help ICE occupy our city.

Help us force Hilton to stand on the right side of history. [[link removed]]
With hope and determination,
