Community Coffee Hour Reminder

Dear neighbors,

This is a friendly reminder to join our neighbors and me for a community coffee hour [ [link removed] ] tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. at the Curiouser Coffee (14889 Florence Trail, Apple Valley, MN) to discuss ways we can support our Apple Valley neighbors during these challenging times. Please bring a canned good donation if you can to help our neighbors who are unable to work or go to the grocery store. As always the format is casual, and all voices are welcome.

With session just around the corner, I’d appreciate your feedback on legislation we’re developing to hold ICE and federal agents accountable when they abuse constitutional or civil rights of Minnesotans. A few bills include:


* Prohibiting masked, unidentifiable enforcement actions;
* Providing housing assistance to those impacted
* Allowing Minnesotans to sue federal agents for civil rights violations; and;
* Limiting collaboration with federal immigration enforcement that violates civil rights.
