Dear Friend,
Right now, many immigrants are feeling scared to go to work, take their kids to school, or seek medical care.
That fear is especially heavy for LGBTQ and HIV-positive immigrants, who are being targeted at the intersections of identity, health, and immigration status.
We want to be clear: you have rights, and knowing them is one of the strongest forms of protection we have.
In collaboration with Cyndi Lauper and her team, we’re sharing a short video that centers joy, visibility, and knowledge as forms of resistance. While recreating a Cyndi Lauper–inspired makeup look, we break down essential Know Your Rights information for immigrants and allies.

Together, we must protect each other and demand accountability.
You belong here.
Your queerness is powerful.
Your existence is not a crime.
At Immigration Equality, we see you; we celebrate you, and we will keep fighting—loudly and unapologetically—for justice.
With solidarity,
Immigration Equality
