John, can you believe that the midterms are nine months away and we still have no clue what the final congressional map will look like?

At this very moment, several states are still planning to redraw their maps and the Supreme Court is set to rule on an essential protection in the Voting Rights Act, which could send other states into a last minute redistricting scramble. 

That’s not how it’s supposed to work, but Republicans care more about clinging to power than democratic norms. Their House majority is now just a handful of seats. Rather than face the will of the people this November, the Trump administration is in overdrive to rig the maps in their favor. 

President Trump is terrified of what losing control of Congress would mean — he even said aloud that he’s worried about being impeached (again). So he’s plunged our nation into a redistricting crisis instead.

Our fight against ongoing Republican efforts to manipulate maps and silence voters is as essential as ever.
