My friends. One word: WOW.
This team just did something incredible.
When the FEC numbers came in for the final quarter of 2025, and I saw that this grassroots team outraised Mike Rogers, I had to stop for a minute. I had to sit with it.
Because it meant something real.
People showed up.
Regular working people: teachers, nurses, retirees, clergy members, small business owners. Folks who squeezed a few extra dollars out of their budgets because they believe Michigan, and our country, deserve something better.
So I want to say this clearly: Thank you.
I’m genuinely blown away.
I’ve spent a lot of time lately talking with Michiganders across the state, and everywhere I go, I hear the same mix of emotions.
People are so proud of this state – they love where they’re from. But they’re worried about what comes next, and they’re fed up with the chaos coming out of Washington. I get it.
And when I shake someone’s hand or give someone a hug, I sense something else, too — a quiet strength and a steady determination to keep fighting for something better.
That’s this grassroots team. That’s this moment.
Outraising Mike Rogers isn’t just a number on a spreadsheet. It’s a signal. It tells me people are paying attention — they’re engaged. They believe this campaign is worth fighting for.
And it tells me something else, too: We’re in it now.
A new poll shows Mike Rogers and me statistically tied — and they show I’m the Democrat with the best shot at defeating him.
That’s not about ego. It’s about responsibility.
Everyone knows Michigan is a battleground. One that could determine control of the U.S. Senate. And when a race is this close, momentum matters.
Because the truth is, when grassroots momentum shows up like this, it doesn’t go unnoticed.
MAGA billionaires have already spent millions backing Mike Rogers. And after this fundraising report? I promise you, Donald Trump and his megadonors will be laser-focused on our race.
But that’s OK. This is Michigan.
We don’t back down just because a fight gets harder.
We show up. We stand together. We work harder.
That’s how my parents ran their small landscaping business. That’s how we helped save 200,000 Michigan jobs during the 2009 auto rescue. And that’s the spirit behind this campaign.
So when I say “thank you,” I don’t just mean for the dollars. I mean for the belief. For the trust. For choosing to fight for a better future.
We’ve got a long road ahead. But moments like this remind me why I raised my hand to serve the state I love. And why I know, deep down, that we’ll win.
