Island County Planning and Community Development released draft comprehensive documents for public review. Read on for more information on how to comment and upcoming meetings and engagement opportunities.

*Draft Materials Released for 60 Day Public Comment Period*

As part of the 2025 Comprehensive Plan update [ [link removed] ], staff have released draft elements, development regulations, and SEPA environmental review for public review and input. *Board of County Commissioners and Planning Commission Joint Meeting*

At 1 PM on February 11, 2026, there will be a joint meeting between the Board and Planning Commission. Planning staff will share key themes heard during the public comment period and will discuss outstanding policy updates on the draft materials with the Board and Planning Commission. Use the February 11 Board Work Session agenda link [ [link removed] ] to join the meeting via Zoom.
