This massive victory in a red seat has added urgency to the CA-01 special election which Gov. Gavin Newsom officially declared last week.
With the Republican U.S. House Majority essentially down to zero, flipping this seat from red to blue could give Democrats control of the U.S. House before the midterms in November! And we now know Democrats across the country are energized and winning in even “stretch” races.
