I wanted you to hear it directly from me:

This week, I voted HELL NO on funding the Department of Homeland Security. This was not a decision I took lightly, as it impacted the funding of a number of important government services.

But I REFUSE to fund ICE’s illegal campaign of violence against our own people.

I wasn’t going to stand by and allow ICE and Border Patrol to wreak havoc with zero accountability.

I was never going to support a rogue federal agency led by despots like Donald Trump, JD Vance, and Kristi Noem.

And I sure wasn’t going to reward ICE and Border Patrol with a single extra dime after the murders of Renee Nicole Goode and Alex Pretti.

Kristi Noem, Donald Trump, and all their fanatic ICE agents think they can abuse American citizens because they are above the law. We need to show them — with irrefutable proof — that they are not.

I’m ready to fight back. But we need to elect a Democratic Congress to take the first step toward real accountability. If you’re in a position to give — and you believe as I do that Democrats CANNOT cave to Trump and ICE — then I’m counting on your support in this ultra-competitive election year.
