STATE OF THE RACE UPDATE

More than half of Colorado's voters are either independent or unaffiliated with either party.

* These are the voters who will decide this race. So now that the election year is in full swing, we're ramping up our voter outreach efforts.

Michael just kicked off another statewide tour, and we've visited 15+ communities in just the past few weeks.

* He's meeting with folks face-to-face to talk with them about what matters most to them in the months and years ahead.

As of the start of the year, GOP candidates for governor have raised a total of over $1.5 MILLION:

* And if the 2022 governor's election tells us anything, we can expect Republicans to spend more than TWICE that much.

Axios just reported a recent GOP candidate forum was "all over the map" – and far too extreme for Colorado:

* "One said he would hang his political enemies. Some didn't understand TABOR. Another voted for northern counties to secede from the state. And a fourth wanted local law enforcement to participate in President Trump's mass deportation plan."

Michael's primary opponent, Phil Weiser, sent a campaign operative to secretly tape an internal volunteer call led by Michael's wife and leak it to the press.

* We’ve come to expect unethical behavior from Trump and the national MAGA Republicans, but we didn't expect it from a primary opponent.

Bottom line: If Michael is going to have the resources to rise above the attacks and win, he needs a SURGE of grassroots support – so reaching our $30,000 mid-month goal over the next nine days is non-negotiable.
