Ten years ago, a dog jumped into someone's arms and said 'take me with you.' Best decision ever.

Hello Jack,

?

Emily was apprehensive at first. But her mom encouraged her to take Rex out for a walk.

?

"Boy, am I glad I did! He literally jumped into my arms, put his head on my shoulder and leaned into me. It was like he said 'take me with you!'"

?

That was March 2016. Ten years later, Rex has been by Emily's side through every joy and tribulation life has thrown her way. Through every move, every breakup, every low point. He's always down to do whatever she wants, whether that's going for a hike or curling up with a good book.

?

Rex is a great brother to the many foster cats that come through their house. He loves to cuddle them and groom them. Emily and her partner frequently say that Rex is the dog they compare all other dogs to, the model of what a good dog is.

?

"Here's to many more years with my good noodle!" Emily wrote.

?

Foster care changed everything for Rex. It gave him confidence, showed him love, and prepared him to be the incredible companion he is today. Your support makes our foster program possible, giving scared or uncertain animals the chance to blossom before finding their forever homes.

Thank you for believing in the power of patience and care.

With heartfelt appreciation,
