John, President Trump and his MAGA allies drove us into this egregious redistricting crisis. It started with them forcing unprecedented gerrymanders in Texas, Missouri, and North Carolina. 

Now, they’re amping up the pressure on states like Florida to manipulate their maps as well.

They’re demanding an unearned advantage in the midterms because — let’s be honest — they’re scared of losing a free and fair election.

But states across the country are using their power to fight back to prevent this GOP power grab from paying off. We saw it in California, where voters approved a temporary measure to redraw its map to counter Texas’s gerrymander. In Indiana, a bipartisan coalition rejected an extreme gerrymander. And right now, Virginia, Maryland, and other states are in the process of mobilizing to level the playing field with the approval and input from their voters.
