John, anyone can say the right things and make empty promises when they’re running for office. The real question is how they've shown up on the issues before they started their campaign.
If you look at my track record — from my days working as an organizer to the past seven years in the state Senate — you’ll see that I’ve always shown up for working people:
— I’ve allocated over $500 million to incentivize affordable housing.
— After the conservative Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, I sponsored the Reproductive Equity Act to codify abortion rights into law in Colorado.
– I put in protections to stop ICE from raiding state databases for immigration enforcement.
The political machine is going to try to convince you that Hickenlooper is the “safe” candidate, but the truth is that our future isn’t safe with him in Congress.
He won’t protect our healthcare, jobs, schools, or environment because he answers to corporate lobbyists, not the people who elected him.
Coloradans deserve to have a leader that will have their back, not sell them out to the highest bidder. But building the kind of people-powered campaign it takes to win means showing real strength early.
Can you chip in $10 today to help grow this grassroots movement to win the Senate race in Colorado? I’m hoping 100 donors can step up before 11:59pm tonight? »
